A Chinese affiliate of a well-known and highly respected hedge fund with over US$7 billion in assets under management is looking for top-ranked graduates from China's best universities to join our Beijing office

We seek research scientists to construct sophisticated quantitative and computer-based models to predict the movements of the worldwide stock markets. Candidates need not have prior knowledge of the stock market or experience working in the financial industry, but must have a strong interest in learning about worldwide financial markets. Our highly accomplished senior staff will provide research scientists with tips and advices to help research scientists succeed in their research projects.

Candidates for the research scientist position must:

· Have a Bachelor, Master or PhD from China’s best universities (top 3) in a highly analytical field, such as:

Mathematics (or Statistics, etc.)

Physics (including Astrology, Nuclear Science, etc.)

Engineering (any Engineering)

Software Engineering (or Computer Science)

Other Sciences (Chemistry, Material, etc.)

or any other field that is highly analytical and quantitative

· Have a research scientist mindset, i.e., be a deep thinker, creative, persevering, smart, a self-starter, etc.

· Be highly competent in a programming language (C++ or C)

· Understand English

· Have a strong interest in learning about worldwide financial markets

· Have a strong work ethic -- successful candidates will actively be engaged in research projects for 12 or more hours a day (although they do not need to be physically present in the office for all those hours)
