monster论坛上关于2 pages简历的说法,蛮不错的
一页简历还是两页?如果是一页半的尴尬情形,你怎么办?
Q:
Hello...I've always heard that it is not good to have a 2 page resume unless the second page is at the half way mark. Well I've been changing my font and changing my margins, but I still am having great difficulty making my resume only 1 page.
Please Help
P.S. All of my job experiences are needed for the position applying for, so I am unable to take out certain things!!
Thanks for your halp
A1:
You can use a two page resume. That rule is out-of-date. I have seen IT resumes that are 5 pages long and some executive resumes are 10 pages long.
What companies want now are accomplishments not duties included or "responsible for...". These go in the top 3rd of your resume. That is the part that gets read the most. Again, the top 3rd of your resume better make an impact or I won't read the rest.

Put a Keyword Summary statement in. Buzzwords: Excel, Access, Peachtree, Whizz-bangy 2000. Sometimes a computer will read your resume and not a human.
Reference Available Upon Request? Get rid of this sentence, it is understood.
Objective Statement: Don't get too flowery here. Be specific about what position you are applying for.
Salary requested? This is the number one reason why your resume ends up in the trash. If a company is asking for this, you better be within their "pay range". Check with www.salary.com to see what the position pays in your area.

A2:
The OP didn't say she wants a one-page resume. She implies that the second page isn't at least half a page.
My advice - go to a 10-pitch Verdana, Tahoma, or Arial font, and expand on either work experience or education, whichever is more appropriate for you. You can add a section at the end that says "Software" in which you list all the software applications you know, for example. The key is not to make it extraneous information, though it may not be the most critical.
合理放置冗余信息,调整格式凑足两页的办法
